     Agnes Virginia Irvine-Fortescue was born on 20 May 1922.1 She is the daughter of Colonel Archer Irvine-Fortescue and Ruth Olive Boddington.2 She married, firstly, Lieutenant Donald Spencer Nuttall, son of Major Ellis Nuttall, on 29 December 1944.1 She married, secondly, Jerzy Wladyslaw Jaholkowski, son of Wladyslaw Jaholkowski, on 27 August 1949.1 She and Jerzy Wladyslaw Jaholkowski were divorced in 1964.1 She married, thirdly, Eric Lee Attwell in 1973.1 She and Eric Lee Attwell were divorced in 1986.1
     Agnes Virginia Irvine-Fortescue usually went by her middle name of Virginia.1 She was registered as a Licentiate, Royal Academy of Music (L.R.A.M.) in 1941.1 From 29 December 1944, her married name became Nuttall. From 27 August 1949, her married name became Jaholkowski.1 She graduated from Cape Town University, Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa, in 1957 with a Bachelor of Music (Mus.B.).1 From 1973, her married name became Attwell.1 Her name was legally changed to Irvine-Fortescue.1 She lived in 2003 at Village au Brun, Nord Dame de Cenilly, France.1
