     Captain Richard Rose O'Grady was born on 13 October 1842.1 He was the son of Edward Stamer O'Grady and Wilhelmina Rose.1 He died on 4 July 1880 at age 37.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 44th Regiment.1

     Mary Ann Bishop was the daughter of John Bishop.2 She married Edward Stamer O'Grady, son of Edward Stamer O'Grady and Wilhelmina Rose, on 11 September 1873 at St. George's Church, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2,1 She died on 10 January 1918.1
      Mary Ann Bishop also went by the nick-name of Minnie.2 From 11 September 1873, her married name became O'Grady.2
