     Edward Francis Hamlyn Noel was born on 4 January 1899.1 He was the son of Henry Hamlyn Noel and Mary Jane Neame Oliver.2 He married Doris Marie Verriès, daughter of Albert Claude Verriès, on 2 January 1926.1 He died on 12 May 1953 at age 54.1
     Edward Francis Hamlyn Noel was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.1 He fought in the Waziristan Campaign between 1921 and 1923, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Indian Army.1 He fought in the Second World War, when he was invalided.1 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (M.R.C.V.S.).1
