     Gerald de Courcy, 17th Lord Kingsale was born in 1700.1 He was the son of Miles de Courcy and Elizabeth Sadleir.2 He married Margaretta Essington, daughter of John Essington, on 13 May 1725.1 He died on 1 December 1759, without surviving male issue.1
     Gerald de Courcy, 17th Lord Kingsale succeeded to the title of 17th Lord Kingsale [I., c. 1340] on 9 February 1719/20.1 He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in January 1743/44.1 He had a son who died young.1
