     Captain Gamaliel Nightingale was born on 15 February 1731. He was the son of Sir Edward Nightingale, 7th Bt. and Eleanora Ethelston. He died in January 1791 at age 59.
     Captain Gamaliel Nightingale gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.
