     Commander Charles William Medlicott Vereker was born on 21 February 1903.¹ He was the son of Major John Medlicott Vereker and Mary Agnes Cayzer.² He married Marjorie Hughes Whatley, daughter of William Hughes Whatley, on 26 June 1937.¹ He died on 26 July 1995 at age 92.¹
     He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.¹ He was invested as a Fellow, Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (F.I.C.S.).¹ He was Vice-Consul to Kristiansand, Norway between 1948 and 1951.¹ He was Assistant Ship's Manager between 1951 and 1955.¹ He was the Harbour Master at Simonstown, Cape Province, South Africa.¹ He was a legal executive of the Admiralty Court between 1957 and 1978.¹

     Marjorie Hughes Whatley was the daughter of William Hughes Whatley.² She married Commander Charles William Medlicott Vereker, son of Major John Medlicott Vereker and Mary Agnes Cayzer, on 26 June 1937.¹ She died in 1984.¹
      From 26 June 1937, her married name became Vereker.
