     Anthony John Rodney Slessor was born on 7 January 1954.¹ He is the son of G/Capt. John Arthur Guinness Slessor and Ann Dorothea Gibson.² He married Josephine Stagnetto, daughter of Lewis Stagnetto, on 8 August 1980.¹
     Anthony John Rodney Slessor was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.¹ He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.).¹ He gained the rank of Major in 1991 in the service of the Royal Green Jackets.¹
