     Kenelm Edward Lee Guinness was born on 16 August 1887.1 He was the son of Captain Benjamin Lee Guinness and Lady Henrietta Eliza St. Lawrence.2 He married Josephine Strangman, daughter of Sir Thomas Strangman, on 26 January 1928.1 He and Josephine Strangman were divorced in 1936.1 He died on 10 April 1937 at age 49, by his own hand.1
     Kenelm Edward Lee Guinness also went by the nick-name of Bill.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.1 He was holder of World Land Speed record in the early 1920s.1 He was inventor of an innovative sparking plug (KLG plug) and a hydro-pulsator for use in dental treatment.1 He was Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1920.1

     Josephine Strangman was the daughter of Sir Thomas Strangman.2 She married Kenelm Edward Lee Guinness, son of Captain Benjamin Lee Guinness and Lady Henrietta Eliza St. Lawrence, on 26 January 1928.1 She and Kenelm Edward Lee Guinness were divorced in 1936.1 She died in 1989.1
     From 26 January 1928, her married name became Guinness.
