Sir George William Fox Kinnaird, 9th Baron Kinnaird was born on 14 April 1807.1 He was the son of Charles Kinnaird, 8th Baron Kinnaird and Olivia Letitia Catherine FitzGerald. He married Hon. Frances Anne Georgina de Mauley, daughter of William Francis Spencer Ponsonby, 1st Baron de Mauley and Lady Barbara Ashley-Cooper, on 14 December 1837 at Great Canford, Dorset, England.1 He died on 7 January 1878 at age 70 at Rossie Priory, Perthshire, Scotland, without surviving male issue.1

Perth [U.K.] on 23 June 1831.1 He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1840.1 He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Thistle (K.T.) in 1857.1 He was created 1st Baron Kinnaird of Rossie, co. Perth [U.K.] on 1 September 1860, with a special remainder to his brother, Arthur.1
