     George William Fox Kinnaird, 9th Baron Kinnaird was born on 14 April 1807.1 He was the son of Charles Kinnaird, 8th Baron Kinnaird and Lady Olivia Letitia Catherine FitzGerald. He married Hon. Frances Anne Georgina Ponsonby, daughter of William Francis Spencer Ponsonby, 1st Baron de Mauley of Canford and Lady Barbara Ashley-Cooper, on 14 December 1837 at Great Canford, Dorset, EnglandG.1 He died on 7 January 1878 at age 70 at Rossie Priory, Perthshire, ScotlandG, without surviving male issue.1
     He gained the title of 9th Baron Kinnaird. He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was created 1st Baron Rossie, of Rossie, co. Perth [U.K.] on 23 June 1831.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1840.1 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Thistle (K.T.) in 1857.1 He was created 1st Baron Kinnaird of Rossie, co. Perth [U.K.] on 1 September 1860, with a special remainder to his brother, Arthur.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.2

     Patrick Kinnaird, 4th Lord Kinnaird of Inchture was born circa 1710. He was the son of Patrick Kinnaird, 3rd Lord Kinnaird of Inchture and Lady Elizabeth Lyon. He died in September 1727, unmarried.
     He gained the title of 4th Lord Kinnaird of Inchture.

     Charles Kinnaird, 5th Lord Kinnaird of Inchture was the son of Patrick Kinnaird, 2nd Lord Kinnaird of Inchture and Hon. Anne Fraser. He married Magdaline Brown, daughter of William Brown, in 1729. He died on 16 July 1758.
     He gained the title of 5th Lord Kinnaird of Inchture.

     Magdaline Brown was the daughter of William Brown. She married Charles Kinnaird, 5th Lord Kinnaird of Inchture, son of Patrick Kinnaird, 2nd Lord Kinnaird of Inchture and Hon. Anne Fraser, in 1729.
     Her married name became Kinnaird.

     George Kinnaird was the son of George Kinnaird and Margaret Maitland. He married, firstly, Lady Helen Gordon, daughter of Charles Gordon, 2nd Earl of Aboyne and Lady Elizabeth Lyon.1
