     Sir Edward Derrick Wingfield Verner, 6th Bt. was born on 28 May 1907.2 He was the son of Sir Edward Wingfield Verner, 5th Bt. and Agnes Dorothy Laming.1 He married Angèle Becco, daughter of Louis Becco, on 7 February 1948.2 He died in 1975, without issue.3
     Sir Edward Derrick Wingfield Verner, 6th Bt. usually went by his middle name of Derrick.2 He was educated at Gresham's School, Holt, Norfolk, EnglandG.2 He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1928 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Verner, of Verner's Bridge, co. Armagh [U.K., 1846] on 1 November 1936.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Rifle Brigade.2
