     Sir Charles Mordaunt, 8th Bt. was born in 1771.1 He was the son of Sir John Mordaunt, 7th Bt. and Elizabeth Prowse.2 He married Marianne Holbech, daughter of William Holbech, on 30 June 1807.1 He died on 30 May 1823.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Warwickshire between 1804 and 1820.1 He gained the title of 8th Baronet Mordaunt [E., 1611] on 18 November 1806.1

     Marianne Holbech was born in 1777 at Farnborough, Warwickshire, England.3 She was the daughter of William Holbech.1 She married Sir Charles Mordaunt, 8th Bt., son of Sir John Mordaunt, 7th Bt. and Elizabeth Prowse, on 30 June 1807.4 She died on 9 June 1842.4
     Her married name became Mordaunt.

     Sir John Mordaunt, 9th Bt. was born on 24 August 1808.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Mordaunt, 8th Bt. and Marianne Holbech.2 He married Caroline Sophia Murray, daughter of Rt. Rev. George Murray and Lady Sarah Maria Hay-Drummond, on 7 August 1834.1 He died on 27 September 1845 at age 37.1
     He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Mordaunt [E., 1611] on 30 May 1823.1 He was educated at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South Warwickshire between 1835 and 1845.1

     Caroline Sophia Murray was the daughter of Rt. Rev. George Murray and Lady Sarah Maria Hay-Drummond. She married, firstly, Sir John Mordaunt, 9th Bt., son of Sir Charles Mordaunt, 8th Bt. and Marianne Holbech, on 7 August 1834.1 She married, secondly, Gustavus Thomas Smith on 25 April 1853.1 She died on 28 March 1913.1
     Her married name became Mordaunt. From 25 April 1853, her married name became Smith.1

     Alexander Graham, 2nd Earl of Menteith was born circa 1472.1 He was the son of Patrick Graham and Isabel Erskine.1 He married Margaret Buchanan, daughter of Walter Buchanan.1 He died from 27 February 1536/37 to 16 May 1537.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Earl of Menteith [S., 1427] in 1491.1

     Margaret Buchanan was the daughter of Walter Buchanan.1 She married Alexander Graham, 2nd Earl of Menteith, son of Patrick Graham and Isabel Erskine.1
     Her married name became Graham.1 After her marriage, Margaret Buchanan was styled as Countess of Menteith in 1491.
