     Sir Charles Mordaunt, 8th Bt. was the son of Sir John Mordaunt, 7th Bt. and Elizabeth Prowse. He married Marianne Holbech, daughter of William Holbech, on 30 June 1807. He died on 30 May 1823.
     Sir Charles Mordaunt, 8th Bt. gained the title of 8th Baronet Mordaunt, of Massingham.

     Marianne Holbech was the daughter of William Holbech.1 She married Sir Charles Mordaunt, 8th Bt., son of Sir John Mordaunt, 7th Bt. and Elizabeth Prowse, on 30 June 1807. She died in 1842.
     Her married name became Mordaunt.

     Sir John Mordaunt, 9th Bt. was born on 24 August 1808. He was the son of Sir Charles Mordaunt, 8th Bt. and Marianne Holbech. He married Caroline Sophia Murray, daughter of Rt. Rev. George Murray and Lady Sarah Maria Hay-Drummond, on 7 August 1834. He died on 27 September 1845 at age 37.
     Sir John Mordaunt, 9th Bt. succeeded to the title of 9th Baronet Mordaunt in 1823.
