     Rt. Hon. Sir Godfrey John Vignoles Thomas, 10th Bt. was born on 14 April 1889.1 He was the son of Brig.-Gen. Sir Godfrey Vignoles Thomas, 9th Bt. and Mary Frances Isabelle Oppenheim.2 He married Diana Mary Katherine Hoskyns, daughter of Venerable Benedict George Hoskyns and Dora Katherine Franklyn, on 11 September 1924.1 He died on 4 March 1968 at age 78.1
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He was with the Diplomatic Service between 1912 and 1919.1 He held the office of Private Secretary to HRH The Prince of Wales between 1919 and 1935.1 He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Thomas, of Wenvoe, Glamorgan [E., 1694] on 17 February 1919.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.) in 1922.1 He held the office of Assistant Private Secretary to HRH King Edward VIII in 1936.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1937.1 He was Private Secretary to HRH The Duke of Gloucester between 1937 and 1957.1 He was with the Foreign Office between 1939 and 1944.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1947.1 He was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.)1 He was awarded the Officier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1958.1

     Venerable Benedict George Hoskyns was born on 23 February 1856.2 He was the son of Rev. Sir John Leigh Hoskyns, 9th Bt. and Phyllis Emma Peyton.2 He married Dora Katherine Franklyn, daughter of H. W. Franklyn, on 15 November 1893.2 He died on 11 September 1935 at age 79.2
     He graduated from Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He held the office of Canon Residentiary of Truro Cathedral between 1895 and 1902.2 He was the Vicar between 1902 and 1917 at Brighton, Sussex, EnglandG.2 He held the office of Prebendary of Chichester between 1903 and 1918.2 He held the office of Rural Deacon (R.D.) between 1907 and 1916.2 He held the office of Archdeacon of Hastings between 1915 and 1920.2 He held the office of Canon of Chichester in 1918.2 He held the office of Archdeacon of Chichester between 1920 and 1934.2

Sir Godfrey John Vignoles Thomas, 10th Bt., son of Brig.-Gen. Sir Godfrey Vignoles Thomas, 9th Bt. and Mary Frances Isabelle Oppenheim, on 11 September 1924.1

Sir Godfrey John Vignoles Thomas, 10th Bt. and Diana Mary Katherine Hoskyns.2 He married Margaret Greta Cleland, daughter of John Cleland, on 8 September 1956.1 He died on 10 January 2003 at age 77.1
