     Robert Francis Dolby was born on 10 October 1933.1 He is the son of Captain Allen Walter Dolby and Winifred Lotus Curtis.2 He married, firstly, Jean Patricia Clark, daughter of Sidney Clark, on 30 April 1960.1 He and Jean Patricia Clark were divorced in 1967.1 He married, secondly, Priscilla Jane Ridley, daughter of Percy Ridley, in 1981.1
     Robert Francis Dolby was educated at Christ's Hospital, London, England.1 He was Master Mariner in the Merchant Navy.1 He lived in 2003 at 11 Oldfield Road, Bath, Somerset, England.1
