     Cecil Montagu Drury Curtis was born on 30 July 1889.1 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Arthur Cecil Curtis and Arabella Augusta Drury.2 He married Rosa Marion Woodley, daughter of R. H. Woodley, on 15 April 1933.1 He died on 7 June 1966 at age 76.1
     Cecil Montagu Drury Curtis gained the rank of Captain in the service of the South Welsh Borderers.1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.1
