     Owen James Esmonde was born on 15 May 1905.1 He was the son of John Joseph Esmonde and Eily O'Sullivan.2 He married Eira Margaret Antonia Coul, daughter of George Henry Louis Mackenzie, on 19 February 1938.1 He died on 23 August 1993 at age 88.1
     Owen James Esmonde was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, England.1 He was Officer with the Australian Department of External Affairs.1

     From 19 February 1938, her married name became Esmonde. She lived in 2003 at Cloneen, Glendalough, County Wicklow, Ireland.1

     Eugene Patrick Mackenzie Esmonde was born on 22 August 1942.1 He is the son of Owen James Esmonde and Eira Margaret Antonia Coul.2 He married Jennifer Ann Sharpe, daughter of Sir Frank Victor Sharpe, in 1972.1
     Eugene Patrick Mackenzie Esmonde was educated at Blackrock College, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He was educated at Christian Brothers School, A.C.T., Australia.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Duntroon, A.C.T., Australia.1 He graduated from Queensland University, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, with a Bachelor of Economics (B.Econ.).1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Australian Artillery.1 He fought in the Vietnam War.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to General Officer Commanding Northern Command in 1968.1 He retired from the military in 1981, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the Royal Australian Artillery.1 He was managing director of Sharpe Group in 1982.1 He lived in 2003 at Tinarra, 63 Wellington Street, Clayfield, Queensland, Australia.1
