     Janet Haldane is the daughter of John Haldane, 2nd of Lanrick and Margaret Murray.2 She married John Murray on 16 May 1758.1
     From 16 May 1758, her married name became Murray.

     James Haldane was the son of Patrick Haldane, 1st of Lanrick and Agnes Haldane.2 He married Margaret Stewart, daughter of Alexander Stewart of Craigtown.1 He died on 18 January 1727, burned to death 'through reading in bed by candlelight'.1
     James Haldane was Professor of Church History between 1710 and 1727 at St. Andrews University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland.1
