Sir John Ludlow Hanham, 10th Bt. was born on 23 January 1898.1 He was the son of Sir John Alexander Hanham, 9th Bt. and Hon. Cordelia Lucy Lopes.2 He died on 30 April 1955 at age 57, unmarried.1
Sir John Ludlow Hanham, 10th Bt. was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.3 He succeeded to the title of 10th Baronet Hanham, of Dean's Court, Wimborne, Dorset [E., 1667] on 21 February 1911.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Grenadier Guards.3 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dorset.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Dorset.1 He was Apparitor-General for the Province and Diocese of Canterbury.3 He graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1926 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1926 entitled to practice as a barrister.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor-General of New Zealand between 1930 and 1932.3 He fought in the Second World War.3 He held the office of Member of the Dorset County Council.3
