     Lt.-Gen. Richard Knox was born in 1812.1 He was the son of Major John Knox and Catherine Chaloner.1 He married Mary Letitia McMaster, daughter of Bryan McMaster.1
     Lt.-Gen. Richard Knox gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the 20th Hussars.1

     Sir Arundell Neave, 4th Bt. was born on 5 June 1829.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Digby Neave, 3rd Bt. and Hon. Mary Arundell.2 He married Hon. Gwyn Gertrude Hughes, daughter of William Lewis Hughes, 1st Baron Dinorben of Kinmel Park, on 26 September 1871.1 He died on 21 September 1877 at age 48.3
     Sir Arundell Neave, 4th Bt. gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 3rd Dragoon Guards.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Essex.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Neave, of Dagenham Park, Essex [G.B., 1795] on 10 March 1868.1

     Hon. Gwyn Gertrude Hughes was the daughter of William Lewis Hughes, 1st Baron Dinorben of Kinmel Park.2 She married Sir Arundell Neave, 4th Bt., son of Sir Richard Digby Neave, 3rd Bt. and Hon. Mary Arundell, on 26 September 1871.1 She died on 30 September 1916.1
     From 26 September 1871, her married name became Neave.

     Major Arundell Neave was born on 2 July 1875.1 He was the son of Sir Arundell Neave, 4th Bt. and Hon. Gwyn Gertrude Hughes.2 He died on 21 February 1915 at age 39, killed in action.3
     Major Arundell Neave fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.3 He was decorated with the award of Legion of Honour.3 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the 16th Lancers.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1
