     James Wilson of Airdrie was born on 30 May 1809.1 He was the son of James Wilson and Helen Menzies.2 He married, firstly, Agnes Motherwell, daughter of William Motherwell of Airdrie, in December 1840.1 He married, secondly, Agnes Paul Millar, daughter of Robert Millar, on 17 April 1855.1 He died on 27 September 1887 at age 78.1
     On 17 April 1855 married 2nd Agnes Paul (died 12 June 1867), daughter of Robert Millar, of Airdrie.1 He acquired Airdrie through his first wife.1 He lived at Airdrie, New Monkland, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 He had a second son by his first wife.1

     Sir John Wilson of Airdrie, 1st Bt. was born on 26 June 1843.1 He was the son of James Wilson of Airdrie and Agnes Motherwell.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Bell Robertson, daughter of James Robertson, on 26 September 1878.1 He married, secondly, Emma Alexandrina Binnie, daughter of David Binnie, on 25 June 1889.1 He died on 28 July 1918 at age 75.1
     Sir John Wilson of Airdrie, 1st Bt. held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Fife.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Glasgow.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lanarkshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lanarkshire.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Falkirk Burghs between 1895 and 1906.1 He was created 1st Baronet Wilson, of Airdrie, New Monkland, Lanarks [U.K.] on 27 July 1906.1

     Sir James Robertson Wilson of Airdrie, 2nd Bt. was born on 5 May 1883.1 He was the son of Sir John Wilson of Airdrie, 1st Bt. and Margaret Bell Robertson.2 He married Helen Rae Fife Graham, daughter of Archibald Bulloch Graham, on 15 January 1908.1 He died on 30 September 1964 at age 81.1
     Sir James Robertson Wilson of Airdrie, 2nd Bt. was educated at Uppingham School, Uppingham, Leicestershire, England.1 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1906 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He was admitted to Inner Temple.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Lanarkshire Yeomanry.1 He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1917, in Gallipoli and Egypt.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Wilson, of Airdrie, New Monkland, Lanarks [U.K., 1906] on 28 July 1918.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Perthshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Perthshire.1 He gained the rank of officer in the service of the AA Battery, Royal Artillery.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was admitted to Royal Company of Archers.1
