Lt.-Col. Wilfred Ironside Ryder was born on 24 June 1866.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Spencer Charles Dudley Ryder and Julia Money.1 He married Tempé Rose Ridhalgh Parsons, daughter of Maj.-Gen. James Edmund Bacon Parsons, on 22 August 1901.1 He died on 23 December 1948 at age 82.1
Lt.-Col. Wilfred Ironside Ryder fought in the Sikkim Campaign in 1888.1 He fought in the Waziristan Campaign in 1894.1 He fought in the Tirah Campaign in 1897.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Indian Army.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901.1 He fought in the First World War.1
