     Stanley Grafton Mortimer, Jr. was born between 12 May 1913 and 1913 at New York, U.S.A.2,3 He was the son of Stanley Grafton Mortimer and Kathleen Tilford.2,4 He married, firstly, Barbara Cushing, daughter of Dr. Harvey Cushing, in 1940.2 He and Barbara Cushing were divorced in 1946.2 He married, secondly, Kathleen Harriman, daughter of William Averell Harriman and Kitty Larnier Lawrence, in 1946.2 He died on 11 August 1999.4
     He graduated from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.G, in 1936.4 He lived at Tuxedo Park, Orange County, New York, U.S.A.G.1 He fought in the Second World War.4 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the U.S. Navy.4 He was director of advertising for Trans World Airlines and for Pan American World Airways.4
