     John Wilson was born on 9 February 1812 at Renfrow, Scotland. He was the son of Andrew Wilson and Amelia Glasgow. He married Jane Blue, daughter of Donald Blue and Catherine McFarlain, on 28 November 1841. He died on 6 February 1879 at age 66 at Whitesides County, Illinois, U.S.A..

     Jane Blue was born in 1824 at Queens, New Brunswick, Canada. She was the daughter of Donald Blue and Catherine McFarlain. She married John Wilson, son of Andrew Wilson and Amelia Glasgow, on 28 November 1841.
