Hon. Ethel Laura Brooks was the daughter of William Brooks, 2nd Baron Crawshaw of Crawshaw and Mary Ethel Hicks-Beach.2 She married, firstly, Captain Lawrence Peel, son of William Peel, on 5 September 1912.1 She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Robert Edmund Martin on 19 November 1925.1 She died on 28 April 1967.1
Hon. Ethel Laura Brooks held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Leicestershire.1 From 5 September 1912, her married name became Peel. From 19 November 1925, her married name became Martin.1
