     Nicholas Edward Egerton Stephens was born on 12 May 1946.1 He is the son of Brian Alexis Fenwick Stephens and Cynthia Mary Denise Prideaux-Brune.2 He married Avril Rose Birch-Reynardson, daughter of Lt.-Col. Morgan Henry Birch-Reynardson, on 10 September 1970.1
     Nicholas Edward Egerton Stephens was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Shropshire in 1995.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants (F.C.A.).1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Shropshire in 2000.1 He lived in 2003 at Grafton Lodge, Montford Bridge, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England.1
