He was educated at Sherborne School, Sherborne, Dorset, England.1 He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1916, with the Royal Army Ordnance Corps.1 He was a dramatist and poet.1 He was a member of the Performing Rights Society.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Currie [U.K., 1847] on 5 February 1941.1

Sir Forster Gurney Goring, 12th Bt. was born on 19 June 1876.2 He was the son of Sir Harry Yelverton Goring, 11th Bt. and Sarah Anne Hickin.2 He married, firstly, Lenore Consuelo Marguerite Currie, daughter of Sir Walter Louis Rackham Currie, 4th Bt. and Bertha Freeman, on 8 September 1917.1 He married, secondly, Hilda Macmillan Dunlop, daughter of Major Robert Macmillan Dunlop, on 14 August 1943.2 He died on 1 May 1956 at age 79, without issue.2
