Lt.-Col. Arnold William Rivers Currie was born on 25 July 1923.1 He was the son of Major Disney Rivers Currie and Ethel Jeanette Bryce-Smith.2 He married Daphne Valerie Helen Nash, daughter of Commander Reginald Nash, on 26 March 1960.1 He died on 17 December 1973 at age 50, without issue.1
Lt.-Col. Arnold William Rivers Currie was educated at Wellington College, Wellington, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Scots.1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1966.1
