     Catherine Delia Fitzgibbon was also known as Catherine Nesta Fitzgibbon.3 From 5 October 1842, her married name became Knox.

     Lt.-Gen. Sir Charles Edmond Knox was born on 29 September 1846.1 He was the son of Most Rev. Robert Knox and Catherine Delia Fitzgibbon.2 He died on 1 November 1938 at age 92.1
     Lt.-Gen. Sir Charles Edmond Knox was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the Bechuanaland Campaign in 1884.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was severely wounded.1 He was Major-General.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).1 He was commander of the 4th Division, Southern Command between 1902 and 1906.1 He was Colonel of the Shropshire Light Infantry between 1907 and 1921.1
