     Helen Shackleton was born on 7 February 1882 at Kilkea, County Kildare, Ireland. She was the daughter of Henry Shackleton and Henrietta Letitia Sophia Gavan. She married Edmund Brietzche on 11 November 1921. She died on 17 August 1962 at age 80.
     Her married name became Brietzche.
