     Abraham Shackleton was born on 27 August 1696 at Bingley, Yorkshire, England. He was the son of Richard Shackleton and Sarah Brigg. He married Margaret Wilkinson, daughter of Richard Wilkinson, on 7 August 1725. He died on 24 June 1771 at age 74 at Ballitore, County Kildare, Ireland.
