Frederick Coburn Davis was born on 3 March 1786 at Massachusetts, U.S.A..1,2 He was the son of Dudley Daniel Davis and Mary Wood.2 He married Mary Allison, daughter of Hugh Allison and Sallie Scott, on 9 May 1811 at Washington County, Ohio, U.S.A..1,2 He died on 8 April 1872 at age 86 at Adams Township, Washington County, Ohio, U.S.A..1,2 He was buried at Greenlawn Cemetary, Lowell, Washington County, Ohio, U.S.A..1,2
He arrived in Marietta, Ohio with parents in 1792 at the age of 6 years old. Was a member of the Christian Church; lived in the Garrison at Belpre, Ohio for 3 years.Served in the War of 1812.1 He was Frederick kept an account Book which, in 1934, was owned by Mr. Roy Lewis Davis of 213 Poplar Street, Marietta, Ohio. The penmanship was apparently rather difficult. The book was 7 1/2 inches ( height ) by 6 inches ( width ) and contained 19 pages pf unruled white paper that was yellowed and dog-eared at the time this treanscription was made. The covers were heavy cardboard covered wiith a brown and black mottled paper. The binding was of reddish brown leather. A transcription of this account book is in the Washington Co. Public Library, Genealogy Section.1,2
