     Lt.-Col. Sir William Gordon Gordon-Cumming, 4th Bt. was born on 20 July 1848. He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Alexander Penrose Gordon-Cumming, 3rd Bt. and Anne Pitcairn Campbell. He married Florence Josephine Garner, daughter of W. Garner, on 10 June 1891. He died on 20 May 1930 at age 81.
     Lt.-Col. Sir William Gordon Gordon-Cumming, 4th Bt. gained the title of 4th Baronet Gordon-Cumming, of Altyre.
