     Captain John Ussher was born circa 1682.1 He was the son of Beverley Ussher and Grace Osborne.1 He married Hon. Mary St. George, daughter of George St. George, 1st Baron Saint George of Hatley Saint George and Margaret Skeffington, on 20 December 1714.1 He died in 1741.1
     He fought in the Battle of Blenheim.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Lieutenant-General Lumley's Regiment of Horse (1st King's Dragoons).1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Carrick-oc-Shannon between 1715 and 1741.1 He held the office of Governor of Galway.1 He held the office of Vice-Admiral of Connaught.1

     Arthur French was the son of Christopher French and Margery Farrell.2,3 He married Olivia Ussher, daughter of Captain John Ussher and Hon. Mary St. George, on 23 January 1736.1 He died on 8 May 1779.1
      Between 1764 and 1765 he was an appellant in a case of French vs Caddell, House of Lords.3 He lived at Tyrone House, County Galway, Ireland.3
