     Lt.-Col. Walter St. George Burke was born on 27 April 1842.¹ He was the son of James St. George Burke and Anne Eliza Grubbe.² He married Mary Ann Amy Macrae Cockburn, daughter of George Ferguson Cockburn, on 6 June 1877.¹ He died on 17 February 1916 at age 73.¹

     Ulick John Burke was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Suffolk Yeomanry Cavalry.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Essex.¹ He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1868 entitled to practice as a Barrister-at-Law.¹ He lived at The Manor House, Newton Valence, Alton, Hampshire, England.¹

     Edith Charlotte Barnardiston was the daughter of Nathaniel Clarke Barnardiston.² She married Ulick John Burke, son of James St. George Burke and Anne Eliza Grubbe, on 5 August 1869.¹ She died on 2 January 1943.¹
     From 5 August 1869, her married name became Burke.

     Sir Ulick Roland Burke was born on 23 January 1872.¹ He was the son of Ulick John Burke and Edith Charlotte Barnardiston.² He married Henrietta May Bell, daughter of Reginald Bell, on 1 March 1905.¹ He died on 3 December 1958 at age 86,.¹
     Sir Ulick Roland Burke was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.¹ He was Chief Agent for estates of the Duke of Devonshire between 1908 and 1939.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Derbyshire between 1927 and 1951.¹ He was President of the Royal Agricultural Society of England in 1937.¹ He was invested as a Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1939.¹ He was decorated with the award of Gold Medal, Royal Agricultural Society of England in 1950.¹ He held the office of Member of the East Suffolk County Council.¹

     From 1 March 1905, her married name became Burke. She was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1918.¹ She lived in 1972 at Melton Mead, Woodbridge, Suffolk, England.¹

     Rachel Mary Burke was born on 5 May 1911.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Ulick Roland Burke and Henrietta May Bell.² She died on 16 September 1964 at age 53, unmarried.¹
     Rachel Mary Burke was with VAD and in the Women's Royal Naval Service during the Second World War between 1940 and 1945.¹

     Violet Burke was the daughter of Ulick John Burke and Edith Charlotte Barnardiston.¹ She died on 16 February 1947, unmarried.¹

     Kathleen Laura Burke was the daughter of Ulick John Burke and Edith Charlotte Barnardiston.^2,1 She married Major Hugh Blomfield Nicholson, son of William Nicholson, on 17 December 1902.¹ She died on 19 August 1936.¹
     From 17 December 1902, her married name became Nicholson.¹
