     He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.).1 He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.).1 He held the office of Ambassador Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Italy between 1876 and 1883.1 He held the office of Ambassador Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Austria between 1883 and 1893.1

Sir Augustus Berkeley Paget and Countess Walburga Ehrengarde Helena de Hohenthal.1 He married Juliana Fortescue Uniacke, daughter of Captain Henry Turner Uniacke, in September 1901.1 He died on 28 June 1927 at age 65.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He fought in the First World War, in France.1
