Hon. Vanessa Margaret Borwick was born in 1878. She was the daughter of Sir Robert Hudson Borwick, 1st Baron Borwick and Caroline Smith Johnston.1 She married Captain Edward Henry Dormer, son of Hon. Hubert Francis Dormer and Mary Jane Elizabeth Digby, on 24 June 1903.1 She died on 16 June 1962.1

Sir Robert Hudson Borwick, 1st Baron Borwick was born on 21 January 1845.2 He was the son of George Borwick and Jane Hudson.2 He married Caroline Smith Johnston, daughter of Reverend Richard Daniel Johnston, on 6 March 1872.2 He died on 27 January 1936 at age 91 at Nice, France.2

Caroline Smith Johnston was the daughter of Reverend Richard Daniel Johnston.1 She married Sir Robert Hudson Borwick, 1st Baron Borwick, son of George Borwick and Jane Hudson, on 6 March 1872.1 She died on 1 April 1936.1 She was buried on 4 April 1936 at Ocklynge Cemetery, Eastbourne, Sussex, England.1
Her married name became Borwick. As a result of her marriage, Caroline Smith Johnston was styled as Baroness Borwick on 17 July 1922.
