     Charles Stewart, 8th Earl of Traquair was born on 31 January 1781. He was the son of Charles Stewart, 7th Earl of Traquair and Mary Ravenscroft. He died on 2 August 1861 at age 80, unmarried.
     Charles Stewart, 8th Earl of Traquair gained the title of 8th Earl of Traquair. On his death, the Earldom of Traquair became dormant or extinct. In a footnote in the Complete Peerage, however, there is a reference to a marriage.

     Richard Joseph Thaddeus Dormer was born on 12 February 1913. He is the son of John Hubert Aloysius Dormer and Virginia Sinclair Tankerville-Chamberlaine Bey.
     Richard Joseph Thaddeus Dormer gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. He was decorated with the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).

     Olivette Ferdinande Mary Dormer was born on 23 June 1902. She was the daughter of John Hubert Aloysius Dormer and Virginia Sinclair Tankerville-Chamberlaine Bey. She married F/Lt. Eugene McLoughlin, son of Eugene McLoughlin, on 20 February 1928. She died on 18 November 1938 at age 36.
     Her married name became McLoughlin.

     F/Lt. Eugene McLoughlin gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Air Force.
