     Captain Charles Carter Barrett was born on 12 June 1827 at Ballinasloe, County Galway, Ireland.2 He was the son of William Carter Barrett and Charlotte Davies.2 He married Louisa Samina Johnstone, daughter of Maj.-Gen. John Douglas Johnstone and Caroline O'Beirne, on 18 February 1862 at Castletown Church, Killeban, Queen's County, Ireland.1 He died on 18 January 1874 at age 46 at Wimborne Minster, Dorset, England.2 He was buried on 23 January 1874 at Wimborne Minster, Dorset, England.2
     Captain Charles Carter Barrett gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 33rd Regiment.1

     Samuel Yates Johnstone was born on 12 July 1815.2 He was the son of John Douglas Johnstone and Samina Yates.1 He died on 25 March 1895 at age 79, unmarried.2
     Samuel Yates Johnstone graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.).2 He was a practising Bsrrister-at-Law.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Fermanagh.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Fermanagh.2 He lived at Snow Hill, Kisbellaw, County Fermanagh, Ireland.2
