     James Hay Wodehouse was born on 23 April 1824.1 He was the son of Venerable Charles Nourse Wodehouse and Lady Dulcibella Jane Hay.2 He married Annette Fanny Massey, daughter of William Massey, on 19 January 1861.1 He died on 13 July 1911 at age 87.1
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was British Minister Resident of the Sandwich Islands in 1866.1

     Annette Fanny Massey was the daughter of William Massey.2 She married James Hay Wodehouse, son of Venerable Charles Nourse Wodehouse and Lady Dulcibella Jane Hay, on 19 January 1861.1 She died on 24 August 1929.1
     From 19 January 1861, her married name became Wodehouse.
