     Henry Kitchener was born on 5 November 1835.1 He was the son of Thomas Kitchener and Susan Sams.2 He married Mary Arabella Laud, daughter of Thomas Laud, on 2 August 1866.1 He died on 22 July 1882 at age 46, unmarried.1
     Henry Kitchener gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 6th Foot.1
