     Arabella Jane Wright was the daughter of Reverend Joseph Wright.2 She married Lt.-Gen. John Maitland, son of John Maitland of Freugh and Jane Maxwell, on 11 July 1849.1 She died on 19 January 1876.1
      From 11 July 1849, her married name became Maitland.

     Elphinstone Vans Agnew Maitland was born on 27 February 1856 at Madras, India.1,2 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. John Maitland and Arabella Jane Wright.3 He married Lucy Bower, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Henry Bower, on 15 November 1887 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.1,2 He died on 13 February 1904 at age 47.1
     He was (an unknown value) at Freugh, Wigtownshire, Scotland.1 He lived at Balgreggan, Wigtownshire, Scotland.1

     Lucy Bower was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Henry Bower.1 She married, firstly, Elphinstone Vans Agnew Maitland, son of Lt.-Gen. John Maitland and Arabella Jane Wright, on 15 November 1887 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.1,2 She married, secondly, Alexander Francis in 1904.1 She died in December 1953.1
      From 15 November 1887, her married name became Maitland. From 1904, her married name became Francis.1
