     Rickard O'Connell was the son of Morgan O'Connell and Catherine Donovan.2 He died at Spain, probably of wounds or in a duel.1
     He fought in Somerville's British Auxiliary Legion in Spain.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 10 June 1836 in the service of the Somerville's British Auxiliary Legion.1
