Eileen O'Connell is the daughter of Daniel O'Connell and Maire Ni Dhuibh O'Donoghue.2 She married, firstly, unknown O'Connor.1 She married, secondly, Arthur O'Leary in 1766.1
Her married name became O'Connor.1 From 1766, her married name became O'Leary.1 She wrote the book Caoineadh Airt O Laoghaire ('The Lament for Arthur O'Leary'), one of the most famous laments in Gaelic literature.1
