     Chambré Corker Townsend was born on 23 July 1838.1 He was the son of Reverend Chambré Corker Townsend and Eliza Oliver.2 He married Emily Gibson, daughter of J. Gibson.1 He died on 1 October 1897 at age 59 at St. Malo, France.1
     Chambré Corker Townsend graduated.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1864 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1
