     Lt.-Col. Hervey Guy Francis Edward de Montmorency was born on 5 November 1868.1 He was the son of Charles Anne Law de Montmorency and Elise Christine Motz.2 He married Evelyn Buchanan, daughter of Reverend Alexander Buchanan, on 12 November 1907.1 He died on 2 September 1942 at age 73, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Artillery.1 He fought in the Boer War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Field Artillery.1 He fought in the First World War in 1914, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre with palm and two stars.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.1

     Evelyn Buchanan was born circa 1877.1 She was the daughter of Reverend Alexander Buchanan.2 She married Lt.-Col. Hervey Guy Francis Edward de Montmorency, son of Charles Anne Law de Montmorency and Elise Christine Motz, on 12 November 1907.1 She died on 11 May 1973.1
     From 12 November 1907, her married name became de Montmorency.

     He gained the rank of Major in the 65th Bengal Native Infantry.1

     Major Reymond Hervey de Montmorency was born on 19 September 1835.1 He was the son of Major Reymond Henry de Montmorency and Anna Matilda Revell.2 He married, firstly, Eliza Cauty Sandys, daughter of Teignmouth Sandys and Anne Elizabeth Cauty, on 24 May 1863 at Bhaugalpore, Bengal, India.1,3 He married, secondly, Marion Ellen Coles, daughter of George Coles, on 27 August 1870.1 He died on 15 July 1880 at age 44.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Bengal Staff Corps.1

     Eliza Cauty Sandys was born on 29 November 1844 at Bengal, India.2 She was the daughter of Teignmouth Sandys and Anne Elizabeth Cauty.3,2 She married Major Reymond Hervey de Montmorency, son of Major Reymond Henry de Montmorency and Anna Matilda Revell, on 24 May 1863 at Bhaugalpore, Bengal, India.1,2 She died on 23 December 1868 at age 24, without issue.1 She was also reported to have died on 25 April 1866 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2
     From 24 May 1863, her married name became de Montmorency.1
