Henry Leatham Burdett was born on 3 December 1887.1 He was the son of John Head Burdett and Adelaide Victoria Stanley Leatham.2 He married Clara Gladys Champion, daughter of Reverend Arthur Champion, on 29 July 1920.1 He died on 25 July 1963 at age 75,.1
Henry Leatham Burdett gained the rank of Captain in the service of the British Army.1 He was registered as a Associate Member, Institution of Civil Engineers (A.M.I.C.E.).1 He fought in the First World War, in Royal Artillery.1 He was a civil engineer in Basutoland and Tanganyika between 1928 and 1936.1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1937.1 He fought in the Second World War, in Royal Engineers.1
