     Lt.-Col. Robert Brookes married Mary Jane Burdett, daughter of Arthur Burdett and Anna Ripley, in 1848.1 He died on 13 January 1849 at Chillianwallah, IndiaG, killed in action.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 24th Regiment.1 He fought in the Sikh Wars in 1849.1

     Arthur Hugo Florian de Burdet Burdett was born on 27 March 1863.1 He was the son of Arthur Burdett and Grace Florinda Trench.2,1 He married Henrietta Maude St. George, daughter of Robert St. George and Sophia Madelina Olivia Mahon, on 23 July 1884.3 He died on 4 December 1917 at age 54.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 4th Battalion, Royal Dublin Fusiliers.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of King's County in 1896.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for King's County.1 He lived at Ballymany, County Kildare, IrelandG.1 He lived at Coolfin, County Offaly, IrelandG.1

     Grace Sophia Burdett was born on 21 December 1885.1 She was the daughter of Arthur Hugo Florian de Burdet Burdett and Henrietta Maude St. George.2,1 She married, firstly, Maj.-Gen. Sir Gerald Farrell Boyd, son of Robert Boyd, on 9 January 1913.1 She married, secondly, Colonel Frederick Evan Wood on 22 June 1934.1 She died on 20 November 1954 at age 68.1
     From 9 January 1913, her married name became Boyd. From 22 June 1934, her married name became Wood.1

     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal (D.C.M.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)1 He had two sons.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1
