     Major Robert Philip Burrowes was born on 9 July 1920.1 He is the son of Thomas James Burrowes and Blanche Wilson Mappin.2 He married Anne Patncla Young Ritson, daughter of Edward Arnold Ritson and Elizabeth Grace Savage Young, on 20 September 1952.1
     Major Robert Philip Burrowes was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He was director of Lincolnshire Chickens Ltd.1 He lived in 1976 at Dorrington Priory, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England.1
