     William Neville Patchell was born on 11 August 1890.1 He was the son of William Anderson Patchell and Alice Louisa Neville.2 He died on 16 July 1916 at age 25, killed in action on the Somme, unmarried.1
     William Neville Patchell was educated at Portora Royal School, Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Ireland.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Private in the service of the 20th (University & Public Schools) Battalion, Royal Fusiliers.1
