Admiral John Moore Casement was born on 13 September 1877.1 He was the son of Julius Casement and Maria Clarke Lacy-Bernard.2 He married Annie Myra Georgina Gerven, daughter of Francis Theodore Gerven, on 6 February 1905.1 He died on 25 January 1952 at age 74.1
Admiral John Moore Casement was educated at Fettes School, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He was educated at H.M.S. Britannia, England.1 He was commissioned in 1891, in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM King George V in 1926.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1928.1 He was commanding officer of the 3 Battle Squadron between 1928 and 1929.1 He retired from the military in 1931, with the rank of Admiral.1 He lived at Cronroe, Ashford, County Wicklow, Ireland.1
