     William Charley was born on 11 April 1826.1 He was the son of William Charley and Isabella Hunter.2 He married Ellen Anna Matilda Johnson, daughter of Edward Johnson, on 1 October 1856.1 He died on 30 September 1890 at age 64.1
     William Charley was juror of Great Exhibition in 1851.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1 He was chairman of J. & W. Charley & Company.1 He wrote the book Flax and its Products.1 He lived at Seymour Hill, Dunmurry, County Antrim, Ireland.1

     Edward Charley was born on 20 April 1827.1 He was the son of William Charley and Isabella Hunter.2 He married, firstly, Mary Caldecott, daughter of Andrew Caldecott.1 He married, secondly, Catherine Jane Richardson, daughter of Jonathan Richardson.1 He died on 7 November 1868 at age 41.1
     Edward Charley lived at Conway House, Dunmurry, County Antrim, Ireland.1
